Double-breasted suits

The double-breasted suit comes with two parallel vertical rows of buttons, on both sides of the jacket. In most cases, this suit is seen with 6 buttons, however, in rare cases, you can find it with 8 buttons in total. The minimum number of buttons you will find is 4. As with the single button suit, it is essential to always leave the last button undone.

This suit is a more elegant version, compared to the one-button suit, and is more suitable for formal occasions. If you are looking for a slimming effect, then this is the suit for you. It not only highlights the shoulders, but also makes you look slimmer and people can perceive more height.

Features: Two parallel columns of buttons on both sides of the jacket. Can have 4, 6 or 8 buttons.

Effect: Stylises, emphasises the shoulders.

Linen suit:

Linen is surprisingly a more durable material than cotton. Although linen is made from organic fibres of the flax plant, it can still resist a lot of damage due to its moisture protection properties. Linen absorbs less moisture than cotton, making it a great choice for hot days. Also, if you tend to choose hypoallergenic fabrics, then a linen suit is just what you need. Another benefit of linen is that it is wonderfully soft, so if you value comfort, this is a great choice of suit for summer.

One-button suits

The classic single button suit is characterised by its single row of buttons and is one of the most commonly used suit types. This suit is usually seen with one button, however, it can also have a single row of up to 3 buttons. With this suit, it is important to know the golden rule: Always leave the last button undone, if your jacket has more than one button. The fewer buttons the jacket has, the more casual the suit will be.

Features: Single row of buttons, up to 3 buttons maximum, can have peak lapel, notch or shawl.

A modern cut suit shares some similarities with the slim fit. Although it has a close fit, it is a bit more relaxed than a slim fit, which makes it much more versatile. In fact, you could call this type of fit a combination of a regular and slim fit.

Regular fit suits: The regular fit or also known as the classic fit is not too tight or baggy. It offers the perfect amount of comfort, especially around the chest and shoulders.

The jacket has a slightly tailored fit and reaches to the hips. The trousers have a looser fit and have a straight leg opening.
